Boroo Gold recognizes the protection of the health and safety of its employees, contractors, and the public as vital to the Company’s existence and continued development.

The Company is committed to conducting all of its activities including exploration, operations and decommissioning in a responsible manner, providing a safe and healthy work environment for its’ employees, contractors, visitors and the general public.

Medical Services

The Company provides a first aid post at the mine site, which is available to both national and expatriate employees as well as contractors who need treatment or advice for a medical issue that is impacting their work performance.

The first aid post is staffed by two doctors from 7am to 7pm, 7 days per week, 365 days per year.  From 7pm to 7am, both doctors are on-call in the event of an accident, incident or illness.

First aid post staff promote good health and hygiene using campaigns such as active monitoring of vital signs, hand-washing, back care, first aid, etc., and they also conduct regular inspections of health and hygiene conditions in the camp kitchen, toilet and shower facilities, etc.
